Q: How much does a surgery cost?
A: The fees for a surgery can vary based on a variety of factors. Generally total fees are comprised of Surgeons fees, operating room (OR) fees, anesthesia fees, and supplies (such as implants). Surgeons who use their own office operating room may include OR and anesthesia fees in their Surgeon fees. Fees can vary depending on the quality of the surgeon you choose. Because any physician can advertise as a plastic or cosmetic surgeon, it’s common to find these physicians do not charge as much as fully trained and certified plastic surgeons. Price can also vary depending on what part of the country you live in. If you are calling to check on fees, you should recognize that it can be difficult to get accurate information. Sometimes you may be given only surgeons fees, but not OR, anesthesia fees. Even when they include these fees it can be difficult to get an accurate quote. There are some surgeons who will provide flat pricing for a procedure type, regardless of your specific needs, while other surgeons like to evaluate exactly what you need and charge accordingly. Either way, it is best to have a consultation with a few surgeons to find out what procedures they recommend and what they charge. Always remember, that when it comes to plastic surgery, cheaper is not better. Don’t risk your health and/or results and choose a surgeon based solely on price.
Q: Do you accept financing?
A: As with many practices, we do not have an internal financing program. Rather we can provide you with contact information from a variety of financing companies available to cosmetic patients. There has been a significant increase in financing options over the past few years, and they certainly vie for more customers. At Revalla we have a simple screening process for which financing companies contact information we provide: 1) Are they a legitimate company with reputable offers, and 2) are our patients provided with quality service. If financing companies can meet these criteria, we will continue to provide their information to patients. One note: beware of offer that are interest-free as we see many programs that require surgeons to charge significantly more for surgeries in order to offer such financing.
